REQUIREMENTS

APPLICATION PROCESS

• Maintain passing grades.
• Attend 3 Community Service activities during each semester. 
• Must complete Tutoring assignments/ Math & Reading.
• Parents must be a member of PTA.
• Students must open a savings account with sponsor bank for financial literacy.

COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES

• Attend 1 City Council meeting
• Attend 1 School Board meeting
• Feeding the Homeless
• Read to the Elderly
• Keep DeSoto Beautiful 

STUDENTS MAY BE DISMISSED FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS

• Not attending scheduled practices
• Not participating in Community Service Activities
• Academically Ineligible
• Parental input with Mentor
• Not completing Tutoring assignments 

ACADEMIC MONITORING

All DeSoto Jr. Eagles & Eaglettes will receive academic monitoring. The Mentors will regularly monitor the academic progress of all Jr. Eagles & Eaglettes. The Mentors will be in direct contact with teachers, principals, and counselors. Progress reports will be shared with the Mentors. The sharing of progress reports are designed to assess academic performance. This information is used to identify problem areas and make recommendations for improvement.
